xAI Grok 3

Musk’s AI company, xAI, just launched Grok 3—their latest flagship model—along with new features for its iOS and web apps.

Grok is Musk’s answer to OpenAI’s GPT-4o and Google’s Gemini. It analyzes images, answers questions, and powers features on X (formerly Twitter).

Grok 3 is trained on 200,000 GPUs in a massive Memphis data center. It uses 10x more computing power than Grok 2, pulling data from sources like court filings.

Musk’s words? “Maximally truth-seeking AI”—even if the truth is “politically incorrect.”

Here’s what’s new:

:small_blue_diamond: Grok 3 mini → Faster responses, slightly less accuracy.

:small_blue_diamond: Grok 3 Reasoning → Self-checks answers like OpenAI’s o3-mini.

:small_blue_diamond: DeepSearch → xAI’s version of AI-powered research.

:small_blue_diamond: Voice Mode (Coming Soon) → AI-generated voice for Grok.

:small_blue_diamond: Enterprise API (Coming Soon) → AI-powered research for businesses.

Oh, and Musk just confirmed: Grok 2 will be open-sourced soon.

The catch? Grok 3 is paywalled:

:moneybag: Premium+ ($50/month) → Basic access.

:moneybag: SuperGrok ($30/month) → More reasoning, DeepSearch, unlimited image generation.

Musk’s goal? “Shift Grok closer to politically neutral.”

Has he succeeded? Too soon to tell. But one thing’s certain: The AI war is heating up.
