The council will advocate for responsible development, deployment, and ethical use of AI in business.
Co-chaired by Amazon and SAP Canada, other members include Meta Platforms, Google, BlackBerry, Cohere, Scotiabank, and Microsoft.
The council will support government policies that establish AI as a positive economic driver, while acknowledging potential risks.
One of its initial tasks is examining Bill C-27, aimed at curtailing AI dangers.
